I'm sorry I ever fought with you, baby.
This is because I found some totally kick-ass (there are slightly spoilers if you haven't read the books) Old Kingdom Trilogy character art, by the by. This person's rendition of Kerrigor is the one I particularly love, although they do mess up a minor detail on the Touchstone art (he wields two swords, one in each hand, not one like this person depicts. Yes, hello, I'm an enormous nerd, how did you guess). It's just after being deeply irritated by all the 'adorable little kitty' Mogget drawings, I came across that genuinely creepy child one and it pleased me. Mogget's a talking cat, yes, but he's also a snarky bastard on par with Doctor Cox, not an adorable little kitty, and he could reduce anyone who argued with him to ash in his unbound form.
(Also why the hell would a British person have the last name "Kultaantaa", that's not even a word or a name at all and I'm pretty certain it's not British also you gave away the ending to the third book with no warnings and it has no impact without the rest of the story behind it also it's not beautiful, it's sad and painful and hopeful and dark just like life rargh rargh growl bitch rant.)
Does anyone in the books have a last name? Wait! Nicholas Sayre. Right. Actually, I think all the Ancelstierrian natives do, but not those who were born in the Old Kingdom. So not the main characters. Hmmm. I will research this!
