So I'm watching the ten minutes of mildly spoilery Bioshock Infinite game footage that's just been released, 'cause if nothing else I can be relied upon in my nerdery targets, and exactly one minute in I hear the voice of Booker DeWitt, the protagonist.

And he's Garrett.

Seriously, he's Stephen Goddamn Russell doing his Garrett-voice, sounding as rough and cynical as he ever has (except more American. And less of a stoic loner).

I was excited about this before, because AEROSHOCK BIOSHIP BIOSHOCK WITH AIRSHIPS, but now I can add 'Ex-Pinkerton Garrett' to my mounting glee.

And while I may be mildly unimpressed by Elizabeth's corsetry, I love the blowing shit up and bantering with Booker, eeeeeee. And also HOLY CRAP GIANT CROW and creepy glowing-eyed yelling dude and Booker total nonchalance when it comes to drinking from bottles full of weird glowing stuff. And it's so pretty.

Bioshock icons, that's what I need. TO MY EMBARRASINGLY ENORMOUS ART FOLDER.

And yes, TOTALLY! The blowing shit up and the bantering and I really, really hope that she does die 10 minutes into the game and leave Booker to wander around the streets in a James Sunderland-type manner because that would be really depressing. The little crows were also pretty creepy, and, uh that bit with the top of the bridge? TOTALLY AWESOME.

The idea of Garrett Booker having lots of lines full of banter with other people as they wander down the streets of Crazyland fills my heart with glee.
