Don’t look at me! I don't know. Perhaps it is to psyche yourself up to play the actual level? Dammit I'm kind of annoyed at myself for being so ominous about it because I'm afraid I may have scared you away. You haven't even gotten to the coolest part yet!

Well, the main reason I'm so interested is that it's hitting quite a few of my, uh, buttons, such as acrobatic movement, urban environments, and a girl protagonist whom the developers are insisting they will not sex up. The fact that it's in first person intrigues me, because it's such a great device for putting you in the moment. Of course, since that Assassin's Creed fiasco I've been trying not to let myself get too excited, but my hopeful geeky heart, as always, will not allow itself to stay crushed for long. It is like a sponge.

The Deus Ex training level isn't quite as bad as the TDS training level, but it's very much not indicative of what it's like actually playing. Actually playing is like the game is trying to make you schizophrenic. "Okay, so I gotta get to the statue past all these guards to complete the mission, so I'll need to - oh hey I can hack these terminals for sweet monies, that's cool, I could bri- whoa maybe I should try to sneak in through those air vents. Or talk to those punks over there, they might have - what, hostages at the train station? Okay. Oooh, a bar. I should go get drunk!"

Harrowdown Hill is so cool and creepy. I was so, so tempted to add it to my mental Assassin's Creed playlist, but it feels kind of weird knowing what it's really about. This is what I get for visiting Songmeanings.net.

You don't have to get me to upload things, you can just ask. Baco did! Although I'm afraid I don't have any more Whitlams music. Hmm. I wonder if I should upload all the Thief music I have...it would take quite a while...

I love Thanks For Your Time, because the number of occasions I've argued fruitlessly with that blasted ultra-cheerful-robot defies belief. "What name, please?" What are they referring to? After two attempts when I slammed down the phone in frustration, my dad told me it was the business I was looking for. There are no clues to this in context, apparently you just sort of have to infer it.

Between Worlds is awesome. I'm listening to it on loop now!

I'm glad you like the music! I love making music posts, especially when other people enjoy the music.
