Augh. I should really stop visiting TTLG. I go there hoping for interesting discussion, examinations of the many (and wonderful) details and art direction in Bioshock...and instead I get endless, endless complaint about it, this horrible irrational cynicism, and a hate for console gamers that's starting to hurt. Did they play the same game I did? Did they stand there full of bleak horror at the climax? Did they dance in Fort Frolic, laughing like loons at the sheer gaudy madness of it all?

And instead of the discussion I was hoping for, I get laundry lists of things they would do to make it better, and I just -

Most of the changes are to make it more difficult, less accessible, more tailored to them and them alone, and I don't understand. They want more games like this, but they'll do whatever it takes to make sure nobody but them could possibly enjoy them.

I don't know. Do I forgive flaws too easily? Am I a silly console gamer?
