Eidos. Eidos, please, I could never say I wouldn't love a new Thief game - especially if it'll mean the old ones get exposure. And you understand - the same team as Deus Ex 3, yes, yes, exactly. The two series have always been tied so closely together, have such similar gameplay philosophies.
But change that title. Change it right now. I am begging you, on bended knee.
God, sir/ma'am, I don't ask you for much. I'm happy with what I got – really freaking grateful, actually. But I need some divine grace bestowed on this game. I have a lot of love invested - you're supposed to be love, you know. Please. ...Also, if you could make the protagonist that little girl, and make her as viciously cynical as the man she is apprenticed to, similar motivations and outlook on the world without pneumatic breasts, I'd be really happy. Really goddamn happy -

Squeeeeeem finish TDS so I can make spoilery noises at you. You haven't got far to go now! Just one more proper mission!
The announcement itself is absent of spoilers, but I advise you to stay away from anyone talking about it. There's this tendenc to just blithely say things like "Oh, they should do a prequel so Garrett doesn't have to be the the Princess of Jupiter."
(I can't decide what is more ridiculous - the title on the website, or the hilariously ill-reasoned fanboy entitlement rage. All the "GARRETT SHOULD BE THE PROTAGONIST" and "TDS SUX" and "CONSOLE RASH EREJHSDHFHDH" and "WHY DIDN'T THEY MAKE TTLG THE DISCUSSION FORUM. Erm, because it's full of nostalgia-crazed pseudo-fans barely a step-up from NMA by virtue of there being less of them? Developers don't typically commit publicity suicide that way, guys.)
