I have extremely odd taste in music XD. When my iPod exploded and I had to send it off to be fixed, I was plagued with visions of technical support geeks pulling it apart and laughing at all my tracks. I know there's at least two operas in my Winamp playlist. And Liberi Fatali, which is at least operatic.
Yeah, the baby thing is iffy to me as well, but man, crack-inspired lyrics are some of my favourite things.
...Are you sure? Have you heard 'Blow Up The Pokies'? Have you heard 'No Aphrodisiac'? They're an Australian band with hilariously despressing lyrics and people tend to completely forget they actually made those songs. They're some of that culture we don't have, as is Louis Burdett, who is this insane percussion performer who does things like putting his hands through televisions sets and being hospitalised after shows.
I blame that track for how afraid I am of them.
Massive Attack's songs all tend to be like that - sort of languid. They turn up in a lot of movies (not the least of which is The Matrix), maybe that's where you remember them from? I would love hear the music of a band with the word 'pimp' in their name (my band would be called Fantastic Noodles).
