nano_moose: Final Fantasy X. Yuna standing on sunset-limned water with her arms at her sides before she begins the Sending Dance. (nerdrage!!!!)

The rant was prompted by people telling Valve employees that they felt more emotional burning the cube than they did killing the Little Sisters in Bioshock, which is pure horseshit, for my money, and somebody putting the damn cube's destruction on the Tear Jerker page on TV Tropes, because of course it was on par with things like the Boss's death and the end of Final Fantasy X. To be honest, I think it might just be people taking the joke way, way further than it was ever supposed to go. The idea that someone actually believes it is almost too depressing to contemplate.

I don't know, I love Portal with all my soul as I love pretty much all of Valve's games, but something about it drives people to a sort of deeply irritating madness.
