The second to last one is Anton's (the guy) hand half-gripping a fluorescent bulb, and I may have overdone it with the contrast on that one, eh heh.
Night Watch is the first in a tetralogy, concerning a group of humans with magic powers, called the Others, who can shift in and out of of a layer of reality known as the Twilight. There are Light Others and Dark Others, and they're caught in this sort of Cold War wherein either side attacking the other would result in everyone's death.
The Night Watch is a group of Light Others who watch the Dark Ones, and the Day Watch a group of Dark Ones who, well, yeah. If one side does something without permission and the opposing Watch finds out, it gives the other side the right to do something equal - say a Light One rekindled a fading love, that would give a Dark One the right to completely destroy somebody else's marriage.
It's nothing amazing, but I think I have a thing for layers of reality. And organizations based around magic and the regulation of magic. And Anton is kind of oddly adorable, for all that he spends roughly eighty percent of his page time bitching about the rules.
Thank you! I did enjoy making them a lot, even though GIMP is all weird for somebody who was taught to use Photoshop. I might make a few more later.
