I just fished a metal detector out of a giant box of kitty litter (for giant kitties) with my scythe in order to plant some ID in the morgue and get some random yutz declared dead so I can steal his job in a ship's kitchen and avoid being turned into an explosion of flowers. I have already drugged him using a combination of a dodgy tattoo parlour, beatnik alcohol and a verbally abusive scrimshaw artist. "When I am done here, I will tattoo big, floppy ears on the side of your head so that everyone knows what a jackass you are!"
Grim Fandango? Is awesome. No fair that it didn't sell well enough to break even.

I've always wanted to play that. It sounds like such wild fun. You're called Manny, what's not to like? Such a pretty poem too. It sounds like wild fun.
Wild like a MOOSE.

It is not really wild fun, it's more like very slow-paced fun interspersed with conversations that make me lower my head and laugh maniacally into the keyboard.
Wild fun like THIS moose?
Also today I volunteered at Endo's. It is like a job, except I don't get paid!

No, not like THAT moose. More like Super Baby-Powered Moose. With a jetpack and a killer singing voice.
I have no idea what Endo's is, but congratulations! I think.

It's about seven years old and I think they're rereleasing it. How much do you know about the oldschool Lucasarts adventure games?
It's not a song, but you can get someone to recite it for you! And elsewhere you can get your giant orange demon pianist to sing a song about a rusty anchor. And then your character plays the piano himself and sings. I - I DON'T MEAN TO PIMP. TRULY I DON'T. I think it actually is pretty rare because hardly anyone bought it. Which is a shame, because it is genuinely one of the best adventure games to be made.

CAN HE BUY ONE FOR MEDo computer games work the same in all countries or are the subject to the wacky conversion thing too?DAMN MY TOWN'S LACK OF GOOD USED COMPUTER GAME STORES. But, okay, seriously. Film noir + everything else you mentioned, I'm pretty much sold.Rereleasing it! That would be incredibly awesome. (Aaaaand the Internet seems to imply it's only been rereleased in the UK and Australia. Cry.) If only we could convince Eidos to do that with Thief, I'd be the happiest person alive.

MAYBE IF YOU BEGI think they do! It doesn't anything about regions on the back of the case, even in all the fineprint about system requirements and epilepsy warnings.DAMN IT ALL TO HELL. It's even better than that. It's...like...actually sort of serious? And kind of thought-provoking? But also hilarious? And the music is lovely. Although the puzzles are a bit wtf but they can usually be figured out with a little trial and error. And it's a LucasArts games, so you can't die! :DWhat? WHAT? Oh, come on, world, I know we're upset at America right now, but that's just cruel!
It's been done! They've rereleased Dark Project at least twice as Thief Gold and Thief Platinum, and they did it again with the Shoutbox copies, which are supposed to work on modern computers (and they do, with a little tweaking) aaaand I think they've released an anthology with all three games. Also, they may well be uploading it to Steam for download, if you happen to have a copy of Half Life 2.
