Joss Whedon is possibly one of the coolest people to ever exist.

I mean, seriously. The guy made Buffy, Angel, helped write Titan A.E. and a bunch of other really awesome movies and now, now, he gives us Firefly.

Fox will go to the special hell. Oh yes.

I have already ranted a lot about this in my DA journal (probably not the best forum for it, now that I retropect) but...I don't know. I'll just talk about my fanish preferences, 'kay? Probably Wash (full name Hoban Washburne, thank you Wikipedia) is my favourite character, although he doesn't have much in the way of secret backstory funfun. It's just nice seeing someone uncomplicatedly happy in the Whedonverse, which happens so rarely it should be noted. And his marriage with Zoe is so cute. Look at that - a happy relationship! We're breaking boundaries, aren't we? I loves his quirks (plastic dinosaurs! XD) and his jokes and his whole attitude and the robotically calm way he flies in the true pilot, even though he knows they could all get raped/eaten/worn as clothing if he screws up (though the calmness doesn't last the series. Oh well).

Next up is...a tie between Inara and Jayne. Which is weird because they are polar opposites. Inara is all about class, Jayne is large, crude, and gun-happy. Heck - it was a wrench even picking them, because the whole cast is just so shiny. Language too gives me glee. Yay Joss and his phrase tweaking.

I will continue this entry after I see Serenity in cinema tomorrow...gosh. The previews make it look pretty freaky. *hides from Reavers. And River. And The Operative*
